Rachel Mansheim, APRN, MSN, NP-C
Rachel Mansheim was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington. She started her nursing career over eighteen years ago and has worked as staff nurse and charge nurse in various clinical specialties. This included Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine-Cardiology, Critical Care and Surgery. She has cared for patients in both the acute and long-term care settings. Throughout these years, she felt she had more to offer to her patients and decided to return to school. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner at Walden University with a 3.9 GPA, and was inducted into the national nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau. Rachel completed her preceptorship at several clinics in the Fort Worth area, including Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics.
Rachel joined DTC in October 2019. After years of being a charge/ staff nurse, she has always wanted to focus her career in caring for diabetic patients before they require hospitalization. The opportunity to work in a specialty clinic that focuses on diabetes, thyroid and hormonal care was perfect. With the increase of diabetes globally and in hospitals, she wanted to find a way to help these patients prior to needing hospitalization. Her passion to provide evidence-based care to patients with diabetes is evident in the care and education she provides her patients.
Ms. Mansheim is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist, Sigma Theta Tau, American Diabetes Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has a certification in Family Nurse Practitioner and is a certified Medical Surgical Nurse.
Rachel spends her free time with her family. She has three children with her husband Gary. Rachel is a three-time marathon runner and has participated in the world-famous Chicago Marathon. She loves to see her children compete in sports, if not running alongside her. She is grateful for the support her husband and family has offered as she pursues her passion in caring for people in the community of Fort Worth.
